چکیده

Systemic sclerosis (SSc) is a connective tissue disease characterized by autoimmunity, vasculopathy, and fibrosis. Several studies demonstrated the involvement of various cytokines including IL-1 in SSc. IL-36 cytokines, subgroup family, comprise IL-36α, β, γ, IL-36Ra, IL-38. γ are known to promote inflammatory response, which mainly produced epithelial cells. Whereas, IL-36Ra as well IL-38 may have anti-inflammatory effect. Recent reports suggest that epidermis play an important role pathogenesis SSc, although family still unclear. Thus, we focused on regarding its level function expressions were evaluated immunohistochemistry skin from SSc patients healthy controls, for IL-36γ western blot analysis. Serum levels ELISA 61 with controls. As results, expression significantly higher compared controls sera also had increased IL-36γ. To analyze cultured keratinocytes stimulated IL-36γ, epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT)-related factors analyzed qRT-PCR Immunofluorescence. Expression E-cadherin downregulated while Slug Vimentin IL-36γ-stimulated or without TGFβ than Furthermore, fibroblasts presence induced Egr-1 expression. In conclusion, be involved fibrotic inducing EMT.

Epithelial to mesenchymal transition concept in Cancer: Review article

Owing to this fact that most of the mortalities in cancers are as a result of metastasis, study on the involved pathways in metastasis including Epithelial to mesenchymal transition (EMT) would be so critical and important. Up to date, several extensive studies have been carried out to determine the correlation between EMT and cancer and their results have shown that the EMT plays pivotal role ...

Analysis of epithelial–mesenchymal transition markers in psoriatic epidermal keratinocytes

Psoriasis is similar to endpoints of epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT), a process of epithelial cells transformed into fibroblast-like cells. The molecular epithelial and mesenchymal markers were analysed in psoriatic keratinocytes. No obvious alteration of epithelial markers E-cadherin (E-cad), keratin 10 (K10), K14 and K16 was detected in psoriatic keratinocytes. However, significantly ...

Mesenchymal Stem Cells Trigger Epithelial to Mesenchymal Transition in the HT-29 Colorectal Cancer Cell Line

Background and Objective: Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) promote metastasis in colorectal cancer; however, the mechanism underlying this process is not fully understood. Epithelial to mesenchymal transition (EMT) is a key step in tumor acquisition of metastatic phenotype. We aimed to investigate the effect of MSCs on the expression of EMT markers, as well as cancer stem cell markers in HT-29 col...

HDAC inhibitors induce epithelial-mesenchymal transition in colon carcinoma cells.

The effects of histone deacetylase (HDAC) inhibitors on epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) differ in various types of cancers. We investigated the EMT phenotype in four colon cancer cell lines when challenged with HDAC inhibitors trichostatin A (TSA) and valproic acid (VPA) with or without transforming growth factor-β1 (TGF-β1) treatment. Four colon cancer cell lines with different phenoty...

Vascular Remodelling and Mesenchymal Transition in Systemic Sclerosis

Fibrosis of the skin and of internal organs, autoimmunity, and vascular inflammation are hallmarks of Systemic Sclerosis (SSc). The injury and activation of endothelial cells, with hyperplasia of the intima and eventual obliteration of the vascular lumen, are early features of SSc. Reduced capillary blood flow coupled with deficient angiogenesis leads to chronic hypoxia and tissue ischemia, enf...
